We have traveled all over Colorado and found this gem. It is so beautiful with a serene river behind it.
You can walk along the river or they have benches that you can just sit and enjoy the beauty.
A wonderful dog park. You will absolutely love this place.

Many parks in SF area, this is probably the best/cleanest. But not much to SF, need to go to Creede for entertainment/bars/trails/mines.
PT sites are very large and spacious. The restrooms are only 2 at far rear and are restroom/showers with privacy door - very large rooms.
Group meeting room w/TV. They can be used for private parties/rallies. In my opinion, this is best park in SF. T
hird time to stay here We camped at Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

by Nivek--Jul 2019 This park is well worth the money and a look see. The restrooms and showers rival a 5 star hotel.
There is a large( probably the largest in the state) cedar chipped, pet park. The sites are over 60 Feet long and over 30' wide with 30/50 amp service,
picnic table and fire ring (with a swivel grill). Each site is groomed and cleaned prior to every rig going into the site.
Camp hosts are very helpful and approachable. He goes out of his way to make every pet welcomed and
he plays with the pets whenever he can.Speed limit is controlled thanks to speed bumps.
Camp activities are available during the season (Card Games, Pot Luck, Bingo)in the spacious activity center.
Games and a play ground is also available for kids. Camp hosts take pride in their park and it is evident every where.
I have booked for a three month stay in 2020. This will be our summer spot for years.

This was one of the few sites in Colorado that is open year round, has full hook-ups, can accommodate a 40' 5th wheel all
while being in a very beautiful part of Colorado. As such, it is where we chose to take our test run in preparation for a year long journey.
The management team, Ron and Debra, were amazing. I told them ahead of time that we were new at this,
and they promised to make as easy on us as possible. When we arrived, we were quickly checked in and Ron led us to our site.
And more importantly, helped me back our rig in ensuring that there were no casualties!
The site was very clean, the whole place was very clean. In fact, we watched Ron cleaning up the sites before new folks would arrive.
Not an easy task during Colorado winters to keep a park this well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were amazing.
The WiFi was fast and available everywhere. There weren't many folks there because of the time of year, but the sites seemed roomy,
the pond was cool and access to the river was great.Overall, this was a great first time experience for us, and the management team made it happen! —

The location of the place is amazing and beautiful. Being a neat freak, I thought this place was amazing. The facilities were SO CLEAN like out of a five star resort and the people that run this place are so friendly and treat you like family. Would highly recommend this place for families with children because you have a lake to walk around and a playground for children as well. The scenery is beautiful as well. You are next to a river and are located by a little lake. It is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have ever stayed at.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Location and views were excellent. Lots of wildlife and the RV park is right on the Rio Grand River. Excellent WIFI and hookups. Kids had lots of fun with all the wildlife, rabbits, geese, ducks, beaver, squirrels, prairie dogs, ect. Overall is was a great time with our kids, truly a nice family RV park. Wolf Creek pass and ski resort is a must, dining in town was great, we caught lots of trout in the river and upstream, small game hunting was good, kids talked us into staying longer.
We are planning to return next winter to go skiing at Wolf Creek and rent some snow machines.

This place is great and the couple that are running it Debra and Ron are awesome people!
The bathrooms are amazing like something out of a Hilton hotel and the grounds are great, clean and awesome views.
Me and my son pulled in on Labor Day after the crowds had all left and we had the town to ourselves for three days.
Good jeep trails less than a mile from the RV park, beautiful river behind the campgrounds for the daily walk.
Will be looking to go back next year and still one of the best RV parks that I stayed at in Colorado. Thanks Dave (the owner) for having such a wonderful place and sharing with others, keep up the great work and looking forward next year to having some beers in the Saloon.

What a wonderful campground! Stayed there in our 43' MH and towing a car. Nice long sites...we didn't even need to unhook. They have ample electric, free wifi, picnic tables and fire rings. The park and bath house were very clean. The couple running the park were so nice and helpful. They made our stay such a pleasure. This will be our destination spot in Colorado!

“There is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE here.”
This resort has been well designed. It has many strikingly different features; incredible views of the mountains, riverfront relaxation, a very nice gathering center with music, a natural wooded area to explore; plenty of access to National Forest trails. But, one thing that is most dynamic about this spot, is the location; it's poised perfectly for many different types of Rocky Mountain exploration. My advice, is to check it out both summer and fall/winter; this is a year-round resort; and they cater to families, and not banditos! ENJOY!

Laquisha Julian Owners extremely friendly and pampered us beyond belief for winter campers! He kept the roads clear and checked on us when he noticed we were outside messing with something. We will come back to this site to camp again on our next ski trip! We camped at Peacock Meadows Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel. |
